The Delray Beach Public Library's Reference Department, located at 100 West Atlantic Avenue has added a large variety of free resources that they want the community to know about. These new online databases save time and money and many can be accessed from the Library's website, the Library's public computers or from the comfort of your own home 24 hours a day.

Small Business Resource Center
SBRC provides small business owners, business students, current and future entrepreneurs all the tools needed to start and operate a business. From accounting, finance, human resources, marketing, management, taxes, industry research, to writing a business plan, this database allows users to search subjects, keywords or entire documents easily. Those looking for examples of business plans don't need to look any further. This database provides hundreds of actual business plans that cover dozens of industries.

Testing and Education Reference Center

From the high school and community college students just embarking on a career path to the business veteran who wants to make a career change, this database provides users with in-depth information on colleges and universities, graduate and professional programs, scholarships and financial aid, corporate training, college entrance practice exams including GMAT, ACT, SAT, LSAT, GRE, GED, Civil Service and Licensing exams for State trooper, Real Estate, Postal Clerk and Carrier, Policeman, Firefighter and more!

Booklist - Booklist is a comprehensive book review site and a powerful readers' advisory tool serving libraries, library patrons, and book lovers. Complementing and expanding on Booklist magazine from the American Library Association, Booklist Online delivers highly searchable and creatively linked reviews, columns, and features-all designed to help users find exactly the right book.

Magill's Medical Guide - Instructions: After clicking on hyperlink and linking to Magill's page, Click on “Remote Access” link on upper left-hand corner of page, and enter password: 25143. Magill's is designed to "bridge the gap between medical encyclopedias for professionals and popular self-help guides." Covering diseases, disorders, treatments, procedures, specialties, anatomy, biology and issues as well as recent developments are discussed. More than 1,000 essays are illustrated with more than 400 photographs and illustrations. For each disease one finds the causes, symptoms, duration and treatment. While most entries are for physical disorders, some cover psychic-emotional and learning disorders and basic conditions such as aging and childbirth.
