The Delray Beach Public Library at 100 West Atlantic Avenue will be reducing the loan period on all new books including fiction, mysteries and non-fiction beginning Monday, May 5th, 2008. The loan period will be reduced to two weeks in order to circulate more new books to all patrons wanting to read them. The goal is to make the Library more user-friendly and to enhance the Library experience for everyone
When the Library shifted its collection in July 2007, the fiction and mystery collections were moved to the second floor, directly above where they were previously located in order to take advantage of the shelving space in the Library building. Most books are now located on the second floor and can be easily accessed by use of the elevator. The collection was rearranged to facilitate better subject browsing and more efficient and easier access to material. If patrons need assistance finding Library materials there is fully staffed Information Desk centrally located on the second floor for their convenience.
For further information call the Library's Circulation Desk @ 561-266-0194 or the Reference Desk @ 561-266-0196.
