For 25 years the Library has provided an array of opportunities for volunteers to work alongside Library Staff. The team of volunteers and staff enhance the library experience, and, in turn our community.
In 2018 volunteers contributed over 4,000 hours of work – resulting in a savings of staffing = $100,000. Library Staff members are always reviewing our volunteer needs and looking for talented, community-minded people for specific jobs.
Be a part of our team! The Delray Beach Public Library has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for young adults, seniors, and everyone in between. We have a large, dedicated volunteer staff, some of whom have been with us for more than a decade. We are very proud of our volunteers, and are committed to providing enriching and fulfilling experiences to make our library a great place to volunteer.
We are currently recruiting and training volunteers in all departments — event planning, program facilitation, computer help, and more.
If you’d like to be a library volunteer please contact Program and Volunteer Manager Michele Harrington at Michele.Harrington@delraylibrary.org or 561-266-9490.

Please note that we are unable to provide court-ordered community service hours.
